Testimonials
Urban District
“The Blue Shoe Project presentation was, hands down, the most effective and engaging presentation I have witnessed in 25 years of teaching! The combination of the visuals on screen, live performance, interactive conversation between the children and the artists; and so many children being allowed to play the electric guitars kept our children totally involved. This was a memorable event that helped our children understand and appreciate the uniquely American art form of Blues music.”

“We had the honor of hosting ‘The Blue Shoe Project’ this past spring, and I can’t say enough good things about them! Their presentation and performance was informative, interesting and educational, as well as professional and flawless. Our students loved it and are looking forward to seeing them again in the future! This is an awesome resource for sharing the joy and history of the Blues with your students and teachers. The ‘Blue Shoe’ calendar fills up fast, so book them now, you’ll be glad you did!”

Impact on Standardized Testing and Track Record
As pressure mounts to meet standards set by the State, The Blue Shoe Project has developed a program that addresses these standards, complimenting subjects currently covered in the classroom – thus further justifying the investment in time spent out of class.
Since 2004, nearly 60,000 students have participated in The Blue Shoe Project, from over 260 campuses from 50 districts. When surveyed, 89% of teachers and administrators gave the program an overall rating of a “9″ or “10″ with remaining 11% rating the program at an “8″. When it came to student retention 89% remarked their students “had never retained a program’s material so well” or that their retention was “above average” for a program of this nature.
